Hiding from the Next Level?

Are you leaning AWAY from your new business up-level? You know that idea that keeps knocking on your heart but you have no idea how to make it work so you ignore it? Push it off? Dumb the idea down? Any of these sounding familiar?

Change is hard and uncertain but sometimes very needed for growth.

Right now, you might be finding your heart being called into a new, higher level, direction in your business and it is scaring the heck out of you because how is little ole you going to get away with it? In fact you just started gaining momentum with what you are currently doing so why are you wanting to shake things up now??

So you put it off.

Make excuses.

Or what most of you do is plan to tackle it in a couple of months when deep down you know you are using perfectionism as an excuse to hold off execution (I know I called most of you out with this one, where are my type 3 enneagrammers at?)

It is normal to feel anxious around a pivot or a new business venture. Humans are creatures of habit, you are taught to plan ahead and play it safe. Risks should be limited and if you have to take a risk it should be a sound thought out decision.

But you cannot let that hold you back from stepping into your power and claiming what is yours. You got this feeling & pull for a reason. Your spirit guides chose YOU in specific to execute this idea and the truth is, if you don’t someone will (I have learned this the hard way, but it always works out.)

So what do you do? It’s time for some CLARITY around tackling new levels in our business.

Clarity Around How to Shift Into This New Level:

1. Get real with yourself

Ask yourself why do you feel so drawn to this idea. Is it a passion project? Something for your business? Did this idea come during a time of desperation (meaning you are really wanting to make money and are trying to force ideas out) or during a time of innovation (your brain is working to solve problems)

2. Ask yourself if this idea will fill gaps within your industry and within your own personal business (more income, desire to work less ect).

As an entrepreneur you should be working to fill gaps, ideas, products and services that fill gaps and are an actual need, sell. Also sometimes an idea can fill a gap inside of your income, or will help you not have to be so inside of your business.

3. Write out your fears around this next step.

Are these fears factual or just a feeling? Sometimes we mix up feelings and facts, when this arises asl yourself, “What have I accomplished in the past that have actually proved these fears to be wrong?”  Then write it out. Be real with yourself here and express what feelings you are feeling towards this shift. Also, if writing isn’t your thing, record yourself on video! Sometimes talking things out can help you unpack things you didn’t realize were there.

4. Solidify your messaging.

If it doesn’t make complete sense to you, how is it going to make sense to your new ideal client or your team that is helping you get to this next level? Clear messaging not only helps your ideal client understand how you can serve them but it also helps your audience understand and spread the word about you as well. Word of mouth is very important so make sure your messaging is there so your audience can rave about you! (shameless plug: I have messaging intensives you can inquire about!)

5. Remind yourself that most stages in our business are simply stepping stones to get us where we truly desire to be.

You cannot mess this up social star. The opportunity to pivot is always there so stop feeling as if this one shift you are leaning into is the final destination. Some stones are easy to cross and some may feel heavier, it is important to trust yourself and understand that this is leading you closer to where you are destined to be.

Your dreams are waiting behind the door, you ready to open and receive?

Shifts are scary but they can also be fun! If this shift works, fantastic! If it doesn’t you still learned more about who YOU are / what you desire as a business owner.
